Something for everyone
Photography lovers will appreciate the technical skill used to construct each image. Food lovers of all ages will salivate over the arresting images, and the curious will revel in the scientific insights that accompany many of the photos.
The beauty of science
Since childhood, Nathan Myhrvold has had a passion for both photography and food. When writing Modernist Cuisine and Modernist Cuisine at Home, he knew the science content alone would fail to captivate audiences, so he chose to enhance the text by including a vast array of stunning images. An added benefit to this was ending up with a stockpile of photos, many of which required new photographic methods never before used in food photography. After wrapping up the production of Modernist Cuisine at Home, we decided the photos deserved to be showcased on their own. This exhibit will allow you to see images of food in a whole new way, at sizes that even the gargantuan The Photography of Modernist Cuisine can’t capture.
